and so much more.Join our growing team where everyone belongs!Position DetailsWhat You Will DoEffectively guide and assist the insured through the claim process, to achieve service excellence and successful file resolutionEnsure immediate and effective responses are provided through written/telephone communication to the following: clients, cargo claimants, lawyers, and service providersResponsible for posting reserves and issuing claims payments within authorityDemonstrate a deep expertise of the automobile insurance policy and applicable insurance legislation Identification of potential fraud in both first-and third-party claimsComplete timely reviews of applicable legislation effecting cargo claims and report to management of any changeManage and maintain file diaries, notes, and documents as per company Technical GuidesReview loss reports, letters, and documentsSecure policy documentation for proper coverage analysisReview and authorize appropriate repair or total loss settlements within authorityEducate insureds on claim process, timelines,



expectations for file resolution assistanceNegotiating settlement of various claims subject to policy language and jurisdictional legislationPreparation of settlement proposals based on assessments provided by trusted vendorsSecure agreements for damages to cargo and third-party property based on legislation-compliant documentation and assessments from trusted vendorsCollaborate with peers/other departments such as Underwriting and AccountingProvide ad-hoc and formalized training and mentoring to peers and junior level associatesOccasionally provide mentoring to personal lines associates who are seeking to further their career in the commercial operationWho You AreCompleted University degree or college diplomaCIP designation, FCIP designation or working towards completionMinimum 2 years' experience handling personal lines auto claims3-5 years' experience handling commercial long-haul trucking and cargo claimsAbility to understand insurance contracts in various jurisdictionsKnowledge of principles and practices of claims settlement, policy wordings, fraud investigations, and coverage issuesStrong working knowledge of MS Office SuiteWorking knowledge of Guidewire Claims Center preferredAbility to identify, secure, and analyze information with attention to detailExcellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, time management & negotiation skillsOur CommitmentWe are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to providing employment accommodation in accordance with all applicable Provincial Human Rights and Accessibility Legislation.
