We are on a mission to create a more sustainable future for us all and need talented professionals to help us reach our goals.Job DescriptionWorking at Sacré-Davey will provide exposure to the diverse range of projects from conceptual stages through detailed engineering and construction, with scopes of work covering new construction, sustaining projects and field turnaround projects. As a team-oriented member of the Project Services team, the successful candidate will contribute to the maintenance of SDE's estimate database and support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesSynthesize engineering designs at various stages of a project's development into detailed and accurate estimates of our clients' capital requirements to execute their projectsPresent and defend the results to client management teams and 3rd party auditorsDevelop estimates in accordance with AACE best practicesDevelop detailed Basis of Estimate documentationParticipate in the quantitative risk analysis process defining project contingencyUpdate estimates as required reflecting changes in project scope and conditionsQualifications5-10 years experience in an Estimating role for engineering or construction firmsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Construction, Engineering, or related field, and Certificate in Construction EstimatingKnowledge in construction projects for energy, mining and general industrial (Ports & Marine, Pulp & Paper, Chemical Process) marketsKnowledge of all construction trades including civil, structural, piping, mechanical equipment, and EICFamiliar with specialist database-driven estimating software packages and Microsoft ExcelAbility to exercise independent judgment in planning, scheduling, and organizing work assignmentsSound communication skills, fluency in English a must, French is considered an assetAdditional InformationSacré-Davey offers a competitive compensation package, as well as a creative, cohesive work environment and continuous opportunity for development.Sacré-Davey is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
