York Sheet Metal specializes in design, manufacturing and installation of a vast range of products; including garbage and linen chutes, ventilation systems, compactors, Tri & Bi Sorter Systems, recycling and garbage bins and more.

We are currently looking for a Welder to join the team based out of Woodbridge Ontario.



The Welder will operate welding equipment to weld ferrous and non‑ferrous metals to meet client and project requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications


• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using various processes


• Operate brazing and soldering equipment


• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment


• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines


• Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.

Skills & Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Welder required.


• Must be well organized and punctual.


• Ability to interact with people effectively and in a skilled manner.


• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
