The Simcoe County District School Board seeks a Behaviour Support Worker to provide expertise in applied behaviour analysis for students with special needs. This is a temporary position focused on direct intervention and program support.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work closely with students facing complex behavioural challenges. The role demands execution of Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA), ongoing monitoring of individual objectives, and participation in tailored program planning. This impactful position provides essential student support in both school and community environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Directly support students with behavioural challenges • Participate in planning and program implementation • Conduct functional behaviour assessments accurately • Collaborate with educators and Behaviour Analysts • Monitor student progress and adapt as needed
Requirements: • Two-year college diploma or university degree in Behaviour Science • Two years’ experience with special education needs • Knowledge of behaviour management systems like BMS • Solid organizational and communication skills • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
