OverviewReporting directly to the Depot Team Leader, as a Delivery Vehicle Driver you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials to designated locations. The role involves operating various types of vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic laws, maintaining the vehicle in good condition, and providing excellent customer service at all times.At Leader Online, we are guided by our values of Teamwork, Care, Customer Centricity, Respect, and Integrity. We are looking for someone who shares these values and can demonstrate them in their daily work.Please note that this role requires a basic DBS check as part of our commitment to safety and responsibility.Key ResponsibilitiesDriving and NavigationOperate vehicle to transport goods to a specified destinations in line with schedulesFollow planned routes and adhere to schedulesUse navigation systems to optimise travel routes and avoid traffic delaysSafety and ComplianceAdhere to all road safety and traffic regulations and always drive the vehicle in line with statutory and legislative regulationsConduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance or delivery issues in a timely fashionEnsure the safety of passengers and goods during transitEnsure the Health and Safety of you and others by carrying out all activities in a manner that promotes safetyAccurate loading, unloading and delivering orders to customers OTIFEnsure products are packed safely and secured with straps etc, so as not to be damaged in transitUse driving App and ensure compliance to all required driving standards and maintain compliance with telematics and driving rulesHeavy lifting, moving, protecting, wrapping, and managing all products with all due care and attentionUse equipment respectfully,
safely and as trained including vehicles, phones, computersUse phones for work matters only and when legally safe to do soVehicle MaintenancePerform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil, water, tyres and lightsKeep the vehicle clean and well-maintained and smoke free; smoking is not permitted in vehiclesInform the Depot Team Leader of any servicing requirements and repairsReport any issues, vehicle defects or delivery problems daily in a timely fashionDocumentation and record keepingAccurately checking and verifying all stock is correct on your vehicle for each all ordersMaintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption and any incidents or accidentsComplete delivery or transport paperwork and obtain necessary signaturesReceipt and despatch all orders accurately and securely in line with Leader's SOPsCustomer serviceProvide a courteous and professional service to customers at all timesAlways show dignity and respect with customers, colleagues, drivers and visitorsCompany objectivesSupporting all other areas of the business as and when required including working in the warehouseParticipate actively in continuous process improvement projects,
