About the Role
Mountainscape Wedding Planners ensure the smooth facilitation of all aspects of their clients’ wedding day. They ensure the results exceed expectations. The wedding planner organizes and coordinates all types of wedding-related events, including elopements, rehearsals, ceremonies, decor installations, wedding receptions, and pre- and post-wedding activities. In essence, the wedding planner flawlessly executes every detail, ensuring the wedding couple has a carefree, idyllic, mountain wedding experience.
The successful candidate will have previous event planning or event management experience and a demonstrated passion for delivering superior customer service, bringing both operational skill and a guest‑centric mindset to the role.
What You will Be Doing
- Connect couples with the Creative Director to design a vision.
- Prepare and organize operations documents including timelines, critical paths, scopes of work,
and venue/vendor bookings.
- Develop and nurture positive relationships with clients, vendors, and venues.
- Coordinate all wedding elements from start to finish, in a lead or supporting role, following Mountainscape procedures.
- Use planning experience to anticipate and mitigate challenges and resolve on-site issues.
- Ensure events run on schedule and align with each client’s vision.
- Maintain safety, security, and first aid readiness for all parties involved.
- Support the sales process by attending meetings, site visits, and consultations to secure future wedding bookings.
- Maintain friendly, professional communication with clients, colleagues, and industry partners.
- Provide clear onsite leadership and direction to operations teams and vendors.
- Manage client information accurately, ensuring all requirements and requests are documented and actioned.
- Record post-event feedback and share insights with the team.
Your Work Schedule
Weddings and events do not always stick to a 9-to-5 — and neither do we! While a typical week is around 40 hours, you will need to be flexible. Evening and weekend shifts are part of the magic, and yes, overtime may be required when things get busy. We will keep you in the loop with your schedule, and you will always know what is coming.
Work Environment
- Work will be a combination of office and on-site event execution
- Work comfortably at heights and use ladders safely and effectively
- Lift and handle loads of up to 25kg on a regular basis
- Support weekend and evening events with flexibility and reliability
