As GIP’s Chief Engineer, you will embody the role of primary technical authority responsible for engineering governance and technical excellence. This position calls for an experienced leader with a strong background in infrastructure engineering, dedicated to maintaining quality and compliance throughout project execution. You'll foster a culture of safety and innovation while ensuring effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish engineering guidelines and procedures for quality control • Lead reviews of designs for temporary structures • Conduct risk assessments on construction operations • Recruit and mentor engineering staff for future success • Provide technical support during critical construction phases
Requirements: • Minimum 15 years in structural engineering, 5+ in leadership • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering • Licensed Skilled Engineer in Ontario • Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD and Revit • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
