About the Role The Finance Operations Associate builds and maintains the financial picture of our projects and events, tracks inventory and work in progress, and prepares the settlements owed under our venue and partner agreements. Where our Bookkeeper is accountable for the accounting record being right, this role is accountable for what the numbers in it mean for a file or an agreement. Analysis is the defining feature of this role. A budget gets built from quotes, contracts and scope changes rather than copied forward. A variance gets explained to the manager who caused it, in words they can act on, while there is still time to do something. A settlement gets calculated from the terms of an agreement and the evidence behind it, and it has to hold up if anyone checks. The role carries a standing authority that matters day to day.
