Become a valued Dietary Aide at Extendicare and support our residents' dining needs. This part time role involves meal service, preparation, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
The Dietary Aide will report to the Dietary Manager and is responsible for setting up, serving, and assisting with clean-up after meals. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a passion for working with seniors. Adhere to health and safety regulations while promoting resident rights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Courteously serve meals to residents and guests
• Prepare and set up dining areas for service
• Assist with dish cleaning after meal services
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining spaces
• Support training of new dietary staff members
Requirements:
• Valid Food Handler's Certificate required
• Preference for experience with seniors and in food service
• Enrollment in Food Service Worker Training Program
• Ability to lift heavy items and stay on feet
• Willingness to obtain Vulnerable Sector Check
