Our client, a leader in agricultural efficiency solutions, is seeking an experienced Irrigation Specialist to join their team serving the Kimberley, Northern Cape region. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced irrigation systems to optimize water usage and crop yields. You will work closely with farmers to assess their needs, propose suitable irrigation technologies, and provide technical support. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of water management, soil science, and various irrigation techniques, combined with excellent problem-solving skills. Assess farm land and crop water requirements to design efficient irrigation systems. Install, program, and maintain various types of irrigation equipment (e.g., drip, sprinkler, pivot systems). Troubleshoot and repair irrigation system malfunctions to minimize downtime. Educate farmers on best practices for water management and efficient irrigation techniques.



Monitor water usage and system performance, providing reports and recommendations for improvement. Stay current with new irrigation technologies and water conservation methods. Requirements

Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Water Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, installing, or maintaining agricultural irrigation systems. Strong knowledge of hydrology, soil-water relationships, and crop water needs.
