NETES is a not-for-profit Indigenous organization supporting the success of Indigenous people in Winnipeg. We offer adult education, skills training and employment services, along with wrap-around services such as daycare, student housing, and health and wellness programming. Rooted in community, respect, and Indigenous values, our work helps build a strong, thriving Indigenous community.
Join a team dedicated to supporting Indigenous adult learners in achieving their educational, personal, and career goals. We provide a holistic learning workplace that fosters student success through education, wellness, cultural connection, and community. As a member of our team, you will help learners build knowledge, strengthen skills, and gain the confidence to achieve their Mature Grade 12 Diploma and pursue future opportunities, while contributing to a supportive, inclusive, and culturally respectful learning community.
The Student Support Liaison plays a key role in promoting student wellness, personal growth, and educational success by providing compassionate, holistic support to learners experiencing academic, personal, social, financial, or emotional challenges. Through advocacy, guidance, referrals, crisis intervention, and wellness-focused supports, the Student Support Liaison helps students identify and overcome barriers that may impact their ability to succeed in their studies.
Working collaboratively with students, staff, and community partners, the Student Support Liaison fosters a supportive and culturally respectful environment that encourages resilience, self-confidence, healthy decision-making, and self-sufficiency. The successful candidate will be committed to empowering students to achieve their educational goals while supporting their overall well-being and personal development.
NETES requires a clear and satisfactory Criminal Record Check before employment begins. All checks must be dated within three (3) months of the start date.
NETES is committed to equity and inclusion in employment. Preference will be given to qualified Indigenous candidates in alignment with our organizational mandate and the communities we serve.
