As part of the Cape Breton District, you will report to the Property Hub Manager. The Housing Officer plays a critical operational role, addressing client concerns and navigating housing programs. Candidates must possess a strong foundation in the Residential Tenancies Act and have excellent organizational skills. You will also work independently while providing support to residents during their housing journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Resolve tenant concerns and escalate issues when necessary • Guide applicants through the housing application process • Coordinate property inspections and drills as needed • Show available rental units to prospective clients • Document communications with clients and maintain accurate records
Requirements: • High school diploma plus two years of post-secondary training • Minimum three years of related work experience • Proficiency in desktop software including Microsoft Office • Valid driver's license with reliable vehicle access • Excellent judgment when dealing with sensitive tenant issues
