The Recreation Operations Representative supports the delivery of recreational sport programs and activities at the Markham Campus, including drop-in sports, intramurals, and special events and tournaments, under the direction of the Manager, Recreation.

Education:

• - Minimum completion of the first year in a post-secondary diploma or degree program in Sport Management, Kinesiology, or another related field.


• - Current Standard First Aid Certification from one of the following agencies Lifesaving Society, Canadian Red Cross, or St. John Ambulance

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months experience supporting recreation or sport operations in a post-secondary or community recreation workplace.

Skills:

• Effective communication skills.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, online forms, and survey tools.


• Effective customer service and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to follow established procedures and standards.


• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple activities.






• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


• Ability to respond appropriately in recreation and event environments.

Additional Notes:

• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
