The successful candidate will be responsible to perform all duties related to the cleaning and maintenance of the site/property including outdoor areas. Assist in providing excellent customer service standards and working in a team workplace.
Responsibilities:
- General clean-up including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, and vacuuming, and more.
- Water Plants throughout the building.
- Monitor and maintain building and exterior grounds lighting systems.
- Prepare Facility for special events, holidays, and more by ensuring that all required equipment and material are on site and in working order.
- Conduct weekly deficiency inspections of Facility and submit weekly task list to the Manager.
- Identify hazards and ensure patron safety in accordance H &S; Legislation within all
- Maintain all areas to the highest standards.
- Assist in creating an environment that is customer focused and performance driven so that customer expectations are met and/or exceeded.
- Use and safe handling of motorized mechanical equipment in day-to-day duties.
- Knowledge and safe handling of chemicals used throughout facility.
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Days, Evenings & Weekends.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Janitorial experience.
- WHMIS Training preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding area.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
