Join the Indigenous Education team as an Indigenous Grad Coach with Superior-Greenstone District School Board, focusing on facilitating student success and graduation outcomes. Engage directly with students and their families for effective guidance.
This key role will involve the implementation of various support programs while reporting to the School Principal. As an Indigenous Grad Coach, your responsibility will be to build solid relationships, advocate for students, and ensure that they have access to necessary resources and support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Report on daily successes and challenges to the School Principal • Facilitate access to academic supports and referrals • Identify concerns among students based on collected data • Organize and promote cultural activities in the school • Collaborate with community Elders and knowledge keepers
Requirements: • Diploma in Social Work, Indigenous Studies, or related field • Minimum one year of related experience essential • In-depth understanding of First Nations culture required • Fluency in Ojibwa is advantageous • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
