Become a lead in systems and security at Citizen Lab, where you'll direct IT efforts and safeguard critical information. This role blends technical leadership, risk management, and strategic planning to enhance data protection.Located at the University of Toronto, Citizen Lab focuses on advancing research at the intersection of technology and human rights. The Systems and Security Technical Lead will collaborate closely with IT staff while reporting to the Director of Administration. Your expertise in information security and systems management will guide security strategies, risk mitigation, and technical protocols for safeguarding sensitive data.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise IT staff in security protocols
Develop and implement the Information Security Program
Conduct audits and monitor system vulnerabilities
Manage security standards and best practices
Act as project manager for IT security initiativesRequirements:
University degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum six years in Information Technology
Two years focused on Information Security
Experience with Linux-based server management
