The Township of Oro-Medonte is actively recruiting for a Senior Planner for a full time, up to 14-month contract position. Reporting to the Manager of Planning Services, your primary focus will be on providing expert advice on planning applications, zoning by-law interpretations, and enhancing community development initiatives.

Your expertise will foster collaboration among stakeholders while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the Development Services Committee as Secretary-Treasurer
Guide developers and stakeholders through the planning process




Analyze, prepare, and present development applications
Conduct research for land use and planning policies
Monitor and report on provincial planning initiatives

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning or a related field
Membership in Canadian Institute of Planners mandatory
RPP designation necessary
Five years’ relevant municipal planning experience
Valid Driver's Abstract and Criminal Background Check
