MECHANIC / ELECTRO-TECHNICIAN for our headquarters in TORONTO (CANADA) Position Summary GRAF Industries Inc located in Vaughan, ON, the official subsidiary of GRAF Industries Spa, distributor of advanced machinery for PVC window and door production, is seeking a experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide in office technical support to customers throughout North America (Canada and USA), performing machine installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer training. This role requires frequent travel (Canada, USA, Italy) and the ability to work independently while coordinating with customer personnel and third-party contractors when required.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and test industrial machinery at customer facilities.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems.

Replace and adjust machine components as required.

Perform machine start-up and operational validation.

Provide technical training and support to customer personnel.

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Support machine upgrades, retrofits, revamping projects, and electromechanical modifications.

Prepare detailed service reports documenting activities performed, findings, and recommendations.

Travel & Field Operations

Travel throughout North America (Canada and USA) for customer installations, service interventions, and technical support activities.

Travel to Italy headquarters for training

Manage service assignments independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.





Coordinate and supervise customer personnel or third-party technicians when required.

Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and customer site requirements.

Qualifications Required

Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar field service, commissioning, maintenance, or industrial automation role.

Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and technical drawings.

Strong mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills.

Working knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems.

Proficiency with common hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

Experience with industrial automation equipment, CNC machinery, or manufacturing systems.

PLC troubleshooting experience.

Previous experience providing customer-facing technical support.

Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.High level of accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail.

Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
