As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will carry out plans designed by a Registered Occupational Therapist for clients with developmental challenges. Your work will involve communicating with families, preparing educational materials, and creating a positive setting to support young clients. This role requires you to actively track progress and maintain safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate session progress to families and supervisors
• Implement therapy treatment plans effectively
• Prepare teaching materials and organize settings
• Create a positive, engaging atmosphere for clients
• Track client progress through data collection
Requirements:
• Post-secondary coursework in Occupational Therapy
• Authorized to work legally in Canada
• Community-based experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year as an OTA preferred
• Current CPR and First Aid certificates
