Join Naandwechige-Gamig Wikwemikong Health Centre as a Mental Wellness Support Worker, aiding individuals in personal crises. Deliver critical support and counselling throughout various communities. This role, under the guidance of the Crisis Coordinator, focuses on crisis prevention and responsive care. You'll conduct mental status evaluations while developing treatment and safety plans for clients. Effectively liaise with community resources and provide much-needed advocacy to those affected by trauma. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to crisis situations in First Nations communities
- Conduct assessments and tailored care for clients
- Provide immediate counselling and support services
- Guide clients in accessing necessary social services
- Maintain detailed case documentation and reports Requirements:
- Post-secondary qualifications from an accredited institution
- Minimum three years of experience with First Nations populations
- Knowledge of crisis services is beneficial
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
