As a Settlement Worker in Schools, you will perform vital assessments and provide tailored resources for families recent to Canada. The job requires collaboration with school teams to support children’s transitions, offering guidance on educational systems and community integration.
Your work involves facilitating workshops and organizing events to foster family engagement in school life.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide personalized referrals
Help families navigate the BC education system
Organize settlement workshops for community engagement
Provide interpretation and translation for families
Support schools in connecting with hard-to-reach families
Requirements:
Must be bilingual in English and Rohingya
Two years of post-secondary education and relevant experience
Understanding of immigration and settlement challenges
Excellent facilitation and outreach skills
Valid B.C. Driver's License required
