The Division of Geriatric Psychiatry in Nanaimo is hiring a full time Psychiatrist to enhance consultation services for complex patients. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute, outpatient, and residential care settings as part of an expansive island-wide program. The role offers additional educational involvement and consultation opportunities to remote areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate consultations for patients and families in diverse settings • Provide leadership within multidisciplinary teams • Participate actively in call rotations and teaching programs • Develop and implement geriatric care strategies • Contribute to critical dementia-related initiatives
Requirements: • FRCPC eligibility is necessary • Must be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC • Fellowship in geriatric psychiatry viewed favorably • Proven experience in geriatric care delivery • Commitment to community engagement and education
