Join Big Island Lake Cree Nation as a Kinship Childcare Worker, enhancing their Child Protection program while supporting community connections for children in care. Be part of a vital initiative focused on safety and cultural integrity.

This role requires partnership with Saskatchewan Ministry of Social Services to ensure child placements are reliable and nurturing. You will meet regularly with children to evaluate their needs and work closely with caregivers, providing necessary education and support. Your impact will help maintain connections to family and culture within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support caregivers in secure, nurturing placements
• Educate families on safety standards and requirements
• Assess children’s social and emotional well-being




• Advocate for resources aiding child development
• Assist MSS in managing childcare placement cases

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (Social Work or Indigenous-focused) or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years in related child welfare or support
• Familiarity with Indigenous services and policies
• Robust communication skills reflecting cultural respect
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license is necessary
