Dental Assistant Position
The wage for this Dental Assistant position is $25-$30/hour depending on skills, experience, and location. Please note that this is a replacement job opening.
Schedule
Full time. Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-1:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
- Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
- Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
- Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care.
- Follow all privacy, safety,
and regulatory guidelines. - Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.
Requirements
- Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
- NDAEB is required.
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
