About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Information Security Engineer to join their agile, fully remote team, with ties to Kimberley. This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions that protect the organization's critical infrastructure and data assets. You will be responsible for deploying and maintaining security tools, developing automated security processes, and ensuring our client's systems are resilient against emerging threats. Key Responsibilities
Implement, configure, and manage a variety of security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
Develop and maintain security infrastructure automation scripts and tools.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of systems and applications.
Participate in incident response activities, analyzing security events and providing technical support.
Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the infrastructure lifecycle.




Stay current with security best practices, emerging threats, and new security technologies.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in information security engineering or a related role.
Strong hands-on experience with network security devices and concepts.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
Experience with cloud security principles and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative setting.
