Become an Overnight Trauma-Informed Youth Worker at YouthLink, dedicated to supporting youth's complex needs during critical nighttime hours. This role prioritizes emotional safety and therapeutic engagement through supportive interactions.
As a live-in treatment qualified, you will work part-time, 45 hours bi-weekly, focusing on supporting female-identified youth ages 14-18. Your responsibilities include monitoring safety, facilitating activities, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Using an equity-based approach, you will help dismantle barriers to access essential support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor youth during the night and conduct welfare checks • Facilitate therapeutic activities and relaxation exercises • Manage medication tracking and document observations • Ensure nighttime safety protocols are followed • Collaborate with care staff for effective transitions
Requirements: • At least 1 year of relevant experience in youth care • Diploma in relevant field; degree preferred • Understanding trauma-informed practices • Strong organizational and communication skills • Experience in crisis intervention techniques
