Job Description:

AFixture Estimatorisresponsibletoproduceaccuratequotes,proposals,andestimatesfor Customerreview.

Primary Dutiesand Responsibilities:
Review,understand,andsummarizecustomerrequestforquotes(RFQ’s).
Contactcustomersforclarificationorothercorrespondenceasrequired.
Reviewcustomersupplieddataandbuildstandards/specifications.
Applyandinputappropriatehours,materialcosts,andpurchasecoststoproduceaccuratecostmodels.
Prepareformalquotesandproposalsforsubmissiontothe Sales Departmentand Customers.
Interactwithinternaldepartmentstoestablishcostmodelsbasedonactualdata.
Workwithoutsidesupplierbasetoobtainquotes/pricingonproductstoassurepricingaccuracy.
Otherdutiesasrequired.

Skills&Experience;:
Knowledgeof Gauges,Checking Fixtures,Automated Data Collection Fixtures,Work-Holding Fixtures,Endof ArmTooling,andgeneral Part-Holding Specialty Tooling.
Experiencewith AutomotiveOEM’sand Major Tier Suppliers.




Familiaritywith Solid Worksanddatareview.
GD&Tandgeneralfixtureconceptssuchas; Attribute Checks,Simulations,Master Parts,andSPC.
Directexperiencewith Mechanical Design,Machining Processes,Metrology,and Fixture Build,anasset.
Understandingofqualitysystems(ISO),5S,and Lean Manufacturingprinciples

Requirements:
Thoroughnessandattentiontodetail.
Excellentverbalwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
Abilitytoworkindependentlyandadheretodeadlinesandschedules.
Positivelyinteractwith Customers,colleagues,andmanagement.
Valid Ontario Driver’slicense.
Followall Healthand Safetyprocedures.

Education:
High School Diplomarequired.
College Degreein Mechanical Engineeringorsimilardisciplineandasset.
