About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sustainable Farming Consultant to advise agricultural producers in the Kimberley, Northern Cape region. This role is dedicated to promoting and implementing environmentally sound, economically viable, and socially responsible farming practices. You will work directly with farmers to assess their current operations, identify areas for improvement, and develop customized strategies for enhancing sustainability, such as water conservation, soil health management, biodiversity enhancement, and reduced chemical inputs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in agronomy, environmental science, or a related field, with a commitment to driving positive change in the agricultural landscape. Key Responsibilities

Conduct farm assessments to evaluate current environmental impact and sustainability performance. Develop and recommend practical strategies for improving soil health, water management, and biodiversity on farms. Advise on the adoption of organic farming methods, conservation tillage, and cover cropping techniques. Provide guidance on reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides through integrated pest management and natural approaches.



Assist farmers in implementing sustainable practices that enhance long‑term productivity and environmental stewardship. Stay informed about best practices in sustainable agriculture , regenerative farming, and environmental conservation. Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Environmental Science, Sustainable Agriculture, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in agricultural consulting, farm advisory, or environmental management within the agricultural sector. In-depth knowledge of sustainable farming principles, including soil science, water management, and ecological farming systems. Experience with developing and implementing environmental farm plans or sustainability assessments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical advice. Passion for environmental stewardship and promoting resilient agricultural systems. Benefits
