Part Time / On Call Receptionist

Duz Cho is seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Part-Time / On-Call Receptionist to provide reception and general office support at our Chetwynd, BC office. Join a growing team where your experience and commitment can contribute to a long-term career.

Duz Cho is a 100% Indigenous owned company, with ownership belonging to McLeod Lake Indian Band. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the diverse cultures and histories of local Indigenous communities. They must have demonstrated experience in applying Indigenous knowledge in a professional setting, adhering to cultural protocols, and working with a culturally safe approach. Knowledge of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) Calls to Action and a commitment to advancing reconciliation are essential.

This position will primarily provide coverage for our full-time Reception & Accounting Assistant when they are assisting other departments, attending meetings, taking breaks, on vacation, or otherwise unavailable to cover the front reception area. The role may also provide additional support during busy periods, company events, or other times when additional office coverage is required.

Location: Chetwynd, BC; 100% In Office not a remote or hybrid role.

$25/ hr

Position: Part Time/ On Call

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct incoming telephone calls in a qualified and courteous manner.
• Greet visitors, employees, customers, vendors, and other guests.
• Ensure visitors are directed to the appropriate person or department.
• Receive and distribute mail, courier deliveries, and other correspondence.
• Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Assist with basic office administration, filing, copying, scanning, and document preparation.
• Assist with booking or coordinating travel when required.
• Help with company events, meetings, and employee functions as needed.
• Assist with maintaining office supplies and company promotional merchandise.
• Provide administrative support to other departments as required.
• Provide reception coverage during employee absences, meetings, breaks, vacation periods, and other times when coverage is needed.

Qualifications:

• Is friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people.
• Has strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Is dependable, punctual,

• Is organized and has good attention to detail.
• Is comfortable answering a multi-line telephone and directing calls.
• Has basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and other common office applications.
• Is willing to learn company procedures and office systems.
• Can maintain confidentiality and use good judgment when dealing with employees, visitors, and company information.
• Can work 100% in-office in Chetwynd, BC
• Previous reception, customer service, or administrative experience would be an asset but is not necessarily required.

Hours & Availability:

• This is a part-time/on-call position, and hours may vary depending on operational needs. The successful candidate should have some flexibility to provide coverage during regular office hours, including for planned absences as well as occasional short-notice coverage.
