Peace River School Division is seeking a highly motivated Part-Time (0.85 f.T.E.)Educational Assistant at Manning Aurora Composite School to provide targeted literacy and numeracy support to small groups of students in Grades 1-6. The position will commence when a suitable candidate has been found and continue to June 29, 2027. Manning Aurora Composite is a K-12 school in northern Alberta. Qualifications Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience Experience working directly with young children (Grades 1-6 preferred) Experience and understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy concepts (e.G. phonics, phonological awareness, early number sense) Skills Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and district office Program Coordinators A strong desire to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work independently. The ability to work independently, manage small groups effectively, and follow structured intervention plans.
