The Engineering and Corporate Assets department is seeking a permanent, full-time Engineering Technician. Reporting to the Supervisor of Environmental Capital Project Management and under the guidance of a senior staff, this position is responsible for carrying out various engineering capital projects and tasks related to water, wastewater and solid waste infrastructure. Job Title: Engineering Technician Wage: $40.57 per hour (2026) Reports To: Supervisor, Environmental Capital Project Management Department: Engineering & Corporate Assets, Infrastructure Design & Construction Location: Lindsay, ON Hours: Normal Working Hours 40 hours per week Other: General office environment with travel throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes in accordance with job requirements Job Description Conduct field investigation and review background information to set scope and parameters of capital projects related to water, wastewater and solid waste infrastructure; Assist with the preparation of drawings, specifications, estimates and contract documents such as Request for Tender, Request for Proposal, Request for Quotation; Coordinate andoversee Consultants and Contractors to manage capital projects in all stages of design and construction; Perform technical reviews and provide input, comment or recommendation on design, specifications, assessments, studies, plans/drawings, materials, proposals, tenders, agreements, and reports; Perform or coordinate engineering inspection services on construction projects; Perform financial administrative activities including processing of
