Join Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre as a Full-Time Educational Support Worker for the Alternative Secondary School Program, focusing on promoting educational success for urban Indigenous youth. Utilize your social services expertise to drive meaningful changes in their lives. In this role, you'll assist in the delivery and administration of educational activities aimed at helping students achieve their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. A robust background in social services and knowledge of Indigenous culture is essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in program delivery and administrative tasks
- Develop and implement engaging educational workshops
- Gather data and report on program impact
- Foster trustful relationships with youth participants
- Coordinate flexible workshop hours, including evenings Requirements:
- Community College or University degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years in social services or education
- Knowledge of secondary education processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
