Head Chef

Duties

• Lead and supervise the kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, fostering a team-oriented and motivated team environment


• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and quality meet established standards


• Develop innovative menus that reflect current food trends while maintaining operational efficiency


• Manage food handling procedures to adhere to strict food safety regulations and hygiene standards


• Coordinate with restaurant management to ensure smooth daily operations, including inventory control and supply ordering


• Train staff on food safety protocols, proper cooking techniques, and customer service excellence


• Monitor kitchen performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvements to optimize productivity and quality

Skills

• Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting


• Extensive food preparation and cooking expertise across diverse cuisines


• Strong team management abilities with excellent leadership qualities


• Deep understanding of restaurant management principles including staffing, scheduling, and operational workflows


• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices


• Experience in food service operations such as bartending or serving is advantageous


• Exceptional communication skills to effectively coordinate with staff and management
