This position, reporting to the Wellness Coordinator, focuses on implementing various resident-centered activation programs. Ideal candidates will have a two-year Therapeutic Recreation diploma and experience in a long-term care context. Your work will empower residents through activities that support their cognitive and physical abilities while collaborating with the Wellness Manager on care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct sports, arts, and cognitive activities for residents
• Perform secure transfers and support mobility




• Ensure residents have necessary assistive hardware
• Plan and promote local community events
• Observe residents’ changes and document accordingly
Requirements:
• Two years in a recognized Therapeutic Recreation Program
• Recent experience in long-term care settings
• Class 4 vehicle license preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR certification required
• Specialized dementia programming training preferred
