UNIONIZED POSITION Temporary Full time - 40 hours per week

DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position reports directly to the Public Works Supervisors and will perform related work as per the job description.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Graduate of a recognized educational program accredited by the province of Newfoundland and Labrador for equipment operation.

Must possess a minimum of Class 3 with a Class 8 and current Class 9 Air Brake endorsement.

Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the operation of heavy equipment is required.

Any combination of education and experience may be considered.

SKILLS Equipment includes those specifically equipped to carry out the business of the Town including rubber tire backhoe,



tandem and single axle trucks equipped with or without plow and wing; loader with or without plow and wing; and equipment used for curbside recycling; and be willing to be trained to operate other equipment that may be required, or available, in the Department.

Applications must include a copy of official educational documents confirming education requirements. The successful applicant must provide acceptable Certificate of Conduct and Drivers Abstract prior to commencement.
