About The Feldman Agency
The Feldman Agency (TFA) is one of Canada's leading live entertainment and talent booking agencies, representing artists across music and comedy. We're looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team.
About the Role
We're seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, live performance settlements, and payroll processing. This is a full-cycle accounting role — payroll is one component of it, not the focus — ideal for someone who thrives in a quick-paced, deadline-driven environment within the live entertainment industry. This is a hands-on, in-office role working closely with the Head of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry & Journal Posting — Accurate transaction input, coding, and posting
Account Reconciliations & Month-End Support — Assisting the Head of Finance with reconciliations, tax, and month-end documentation
Live Performance Settlements — Budgeting, income tracking, expense classification, and weekly financial summary updates for live performance projects
Artist Show Settlements — Preparing and entering show-wise settlement data
Bank Updates in Microsoft Dynamics 365 — Entry and reconciliation of bank transactions
Vendor Invoice Management — Entry, tracking, and project classification of vendor invoices
Monthly HST Summary — Preparation of monthly HST summaries in compliance with CRA requirements
File & Records Management — Maintaining organized records for reporting and audit support
Payroll Administration — Full ownership of payroll processing, remittances, and related compliance (upon completion of training)
What We're Looking For
2+ years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, with hands-on experience in journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close (this is an accounting role — payroll-only or HR-only backgrounds will not be a fit)
Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel
Familiarity with CRA remittance requirements (HST/GST)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Ceridian (payroll) an asset
TM1 experience an asset
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Experience in entertainment, live events, or a project-based industry is a plus
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business
What We Offer
$60,000–$65,000 CAD annually
Performance-based bonus structure
Chance to work in the live entertainment industry with a portfolio of top artists
Team-oriented, fast-paced finance team
