PRT is looking for a full time Grower 2 to support nursery responsibilities at its Vernon location. This role involves applying effective nursery practices to enhance the quality of forest seedling crops. Successful candidates will show a passion for learning, work independently, and adapt to varying schedules throughout the grow season.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement water and fertilization programs per Crop Prescriptions
• Operate the Argus Environmental Control System for irrigation
• Monitor seedling growth through morphological measurements
• Conduct insect inspections and implement control methods
• Train seasonal employees on nursery work practices
Requirements:
• Experience in nursery or propagation environments
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and crop monitoring
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
