Shift Available: Weekend Day Shift - Saturday Sunday (6am to 6pm) and Friday/ Monday, (6am to 2pm) - Shift Premium $3/hour
This position is starting at $22/hour PLUS shift premium.
Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada for the duration of employment. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored immigration support.
The Component Preparation Operator is accountable to the Production Supervisor for all activities relating to inspection, labeling and packaging of filled products. As well,
preparation of glass caps and stoppers to meet the company’s objectives. This will be performed in accordance with the requirements outlined in Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows inspection, labeling, packaging and component preparation SOPs for preparation of components.
- Completes Batch Record and log books.
- Reports any equipment problems to Lead Hand and Supervisor.
- Inspects, labels and packages filled cartridges according to the appropriate SOP.
- Performs and records all line clearance and cleaning.
- Maintains Inspection Certification
- Performs fill volume and seal integrity testing
- Collaborates with other departments to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Follows GMP and regulatory requirements and ensures quality standards are met.
- Observes and supports all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Demonstrates the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statements, policies, and current standard business practices.
- Performs other related duties as required.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Education
- High school diploma.
- A college certification/diploma or equivalent is an asset.
- Experience
- A minimum of 1 year related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry experience is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work any shift in a 24/7 environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Team oriented.
