AbouttheRole The Microbiologist will be responsible for completing the day-to-day tasks assigned; this embraces routine microbiological testing including: sterility testing, growth promotion, bioburden testing, microbial identification, and other tests according to the USP and EP. Conductpeerreviewoflaboratoryrecords. ConductroutineenvironmentalmonitoringofcleanroomsaccordingtoSOPs. BeresponsibleforthemaintenanceoftheAtomVieMicrobiologyLaboratoryaccordingtoHealthCanadaGMPs,includingrecords,procedures,disposalofwaste,materials,equipment,androutineoperations. Supportcalibration/maintenanceofMicrobiologyequipment. Conductinventoryandmanagementofmicrobiologicalmaterials. AssistintheclosureofChangeControls,Non-Conformances,InvestigationsandCAPAsasspecifiedintheSOPs. SupportinvestigationsforMicrorelatedfailuresandnon-conformances. Assistinthewritingoftechnicaldocuments,customerandinternalreports,SOPs,protocols. SupporttheMediaFillprogram. UnderstandandworkundertheHealthCanadaGMPrequirementsforsterilepharmaceuticalsandtheAnnextotheGoodManufacturingPracticesGuidelinesGoodManufacturingPractices(GMP)forPositronEmittingRadiopharmaceuticals(PERs). Plan,implement,andsuccessfullycompleteassignedtasksinatimelyfashionensuringconsistenthighquality.



Conductinvestigationsfortestingfailureandnon-conformancesandimplementcorrectiveactions. AdheretoGMPregulationsbymaintainingcompleterecordspertainingtoallaspectsofmicrobiologicaltesting,routineoperations,andequipmentmaintenance UnderstandandworkundertheHealthCanadaandFDAGMPrequirementsforsterilepharmaceuticals. UnderstandandworkundertheCanadianNuclearSafetyCommissionregulations. EnsurecompliancewithHealthandSafetyforallpolicies,proceduresandregulationsapplicabletotheirwork. Completeallotherdutiesasrequired. What You Bring to the Role Proficiencywithspreadsheets(e.G.Excel,GoogleSheets),andabilitytowritetechnicaldocumentsandreports. Goodcommunicationskills(inEnglish)andabilitytoworkbothindependentlyandcooperativelyinateamenvironment. ExperienceinapharmaceuticalcGMPenvironment,experienceinAsepticOperations,Cleanrooms,andBiosafetyContainmentLevel2lab,andworkingunderCanadianNuclearSafetyCommissionregulationsareassetsinthisrole. Requirements B.Sc.InMicrobiologyorarelatedfield. 1to3yearsofrelatedexperienceinMicrobiologicaltestingsuchasGrowthPromotion,Bioburden,EnvironmentalMonitoring,Sterilityand/orBacterialEndotoxin. This position requires shift work and alternating weekends. Abilitytoliftandmoveheavyweightsupto23kilogramsisrequired. Compensation: Annual salary starts at $58k. Compensation is based on relevant industry experience, academic credentials, and qualifications.
