About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Insurance Growth and Distribution. This key leadership role is focused on driving the firm's insurance growth agenda and distribution strategy, with a solid emphasis on aligning product and wealth capabilities to deliver client-centric insurance solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing scalable and sustainable insurance programs, driving sales growth, and ensuring the integration of insurance solutions into financial planning and wealth management processes. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential,
as is the ability to create buy-in for the value of insurance in financial and wealth plans.
Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a post-secondary diploma or degree, with a CLU designation required and additional designations such as CFP, TEP, and CPA considered a value-add. A minimum of 15 years' experience in insurance distribution and sales strategy is necessary, along with a proven track record of leading an insurance sales function to meet or exceed growth targets. The role demands a robust knowledge of Canadian insurance regulation, market conduct, and the advisor/broker ecosystem, as well as experience in high-net-worth solutions within a wealth management context. The ideal candidate will be a result-oriented, self-starting skilled with excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, and a proactive, strategic partner with a client-focused mindset.
