Empower individuals as a Transitional Worker with Coast Mental Health in Coquitlam. Engage with residents in meaningful daily activities while providing support for community resource access.
This casual role under the Cottage/Transitional Housing Program oversees residents’ active participation in daily life skills and medication administration. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges and promoting their integration into the community. Collaboration and communication are key aspects of this position.
Key Responsibilities: • Engage residents in meaningful cooking and home management • Support clients while developing life skills • Administer prescribed medications properly • Connect residents with essential community services • Monitor and report changes in residents’ mental health
Requirements: • Community Social Service diploma required • At least two years of related experience • Current B.C Class 5 Driver’s license • Ability to obtain necessary safety certifications • Skills in facilitating group dynamics preferred
