Become a Community Mental Health Worker with Coast Mental Health in a casual capacity focused on client advocacy and support services. Contribute to improving lives through interdisciplinary teamwork.

In this role, you will report to the Program Manager and be responsible for delivering daily support and recreational programs. You will apply principles of psychosocial rehabilitation while ensuring the safety and welfare of clients who face challenges like homelessness and mental health issues. Shifts will vary based on operational needs, offering flexibility in your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:



• Oversee daily operations of support and advocacy programs • Ensure safety and well-being of program participants • Facilitate social and recreational engagement for clients • Use crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques • Connect clients to local community resources and services

Requirements: • Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent education/experience • Minimum of two years relevant experience • Certificates in First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS required • Transparent criminal record from the Ministry of Justice • Proficient in understanding harm reduction and trauma-informed practices
