We invest in our people, just like they invest in us.What Is The Opportunity?The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon and Framatome, located in Kincardine, Ontario. SGRT is a part of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) project and includes the removal of the steam generators and the installation of replacement steam generators with related plant modifications. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064. In addition to the existing contracts for Unit 3 and Unit 4, SGRT has been awarded contracts for Unit 5, 7, and 8 for steam generator replacements as part of the Bruce Major Component Replacement project.As a Project Coordinator you will play a key role in providing leadership in managing/supervising construction projects by assisting in the project management and coordination of schedules, manpower, customer relations, engineering, and procurement. Risk analysis; project forecasting, liaising with EPC and subcontractors are daily occurrences in this position. The Project Coordinator reports to the Field Engineering Manager. Following the Project Manager’s review of the project estimate, budget,



commercial and the technical review of the project, the Project Coordinator directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering and construction requirements within the scope of a specified project.What You’ll Do HereCreate Construction Work Packages for assigned scope of workProvide status reports on project milestones and adjust schedules as neededControl expenditures within the project budgetCoordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, turnover documents, etc.Review project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specificationsCoordinate activities relating to technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problemsEvaluate and recommend design changes, specifications and drawing releasesInterface with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are metProvide status and progress reports to customer, project team, and managementAssist and monitor safety programs and statistics as requiredWrite and review purchase specifications and subcontract documentsCoordinate all site procurement activities including validation of material specifications, preparation of purchase requisitions, materials tracking and ensuring traceability of materials when installed in the fieldActive involvement in quality assurance with regards to understanding and implementing policies and proceduresProvide estimating and project management back-up as requiredPerform such other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/managerDevelop and write reports and business correspondenceOther duties as assignedWhat You Bring To The TeamPost-secondary education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management disciplines; or acceptable combination of education and previous experienceA minimum of 1-3 years working as a Project Coordinator or equivalent role, ideally in project engineering or EPC setting (co-op placement experience will be considered)Proficient in software related to construction industry as required (e.G. Primavera Scheduling software, AutoCAD, SAP etc.)Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Excellent analytical and organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsReason for vacancy: ReplacementSalary range: $70,000-$85,000Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
