As a AI Technical Product Owner, you will own the vision, value, and delivery roadmap for the AI products built by our delivery team of senior data scientists and machine learning engineers. In this hybrid product owner and business analyst role, you will lead conversations with business stakeholders to uncover true business intent and value, translate those needs into clear technical requirements, and prioritize a roadmap that guides the technical team's delivery. You will decide what gets built and why defining features, sequencing the backlog, and ensuring every initiative ties to measurable business value. This role is ideal for a candidate who combines product management discipline, strong business analysis skills, and enough AI/ML fluency to partner credibly with a senior technical team in a regulated enterprise setting. What You'll Do
Own and prioritize the AI product roadmap and backlog, defining value with business stakeholders and sequencing delivery for the data science and ML engineering team. Lead requirements discovery elicit true business intent and translate it into clear technical requirements and user stories the technical team can build from.
Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities and define the measurable outcomes each product must achieve. Serve as the bridge between the business and the delivery team, ensuring the team builds the right thing and stakeholders understand what is being delivered. Define acceptance criteria and validate delivered AI products against business intent and expected value. Maintain a clear, well-groomed backlog and communicate roadmap, tradeoffs, and progress to stakeholders. Evaluate emerging AI capabilities alongside the technical team and recommend practical, compliant opportunities for enterprise use. Champion adoption of delivered AI products and measure realized business value. Basic Requirements
7+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, or business analysis, ideally delivering data, analytics, or AI/ML products. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience owning a product roadmap and backlog defining value, prioritizing features, and sequencing delivery for a technical team. Strong business analysis skills, including requirements elicitation and translating business needs into clear technical requirements. Solid technical grounding in AI/ML able to engage in depth with data scientists and machine learning engineers on model approaches, data readiness, experimentation, evaluation, and technical tradeoffs,
and to author detailed technical requirements. Excellent stakeholder communication and the ability to lead business conversations that surface true intent and value. Experience working in complex or business-critical environments where reliability and measurable outcomes matter. Ability to clearly demonstrate relevant experience on a resume through prior roles, projects, tools, and business impact. Preferred Skills / Experience
Experience delivering AI/ML products, such as predictive models or generative AI, in enterprise workflows. Familiarity with the machine learning lifecycle, including experimentation, model evaluation, deployment, and MLOps concepts. Experience with Agile product delivery, including backlog management, sprint prioritization, and partnering with technical delivery teams. Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, life sciences, or other compliance-driven industries. Background in value definition, ROI analysis, or product discovery. Strong data storytelling, change management, and adoption skills. Travel / Work Environment / Physical Requirements
