CHARCO Security is looking for several motivated, versatile security guards who are ready to work on call and have access to a vehicle for various types of assignments in Val-d'Or, Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

If you are flexible, hold a valid driver’s licence, have access to a vehicle at all times, possess a valid security guard licence, and live in Val-d'Or, we would be pleased to receive your application.

Description of assignments:

- Detainee monitoring (in partnership with the Sûreté du Québec): camera-based surveillance with no direct contact. You alert the SQ in case of any suspicious behavior. The only interaction with the detainee occurs during meal delivery, through a small hatch in the cell door, with no physical contact.
- Event security: ensuring the safety of attendees and the site during festivals, shows, and other events, including access control, crowd management, and emergency response.
- Corporate and retail security: conducting preventive patrols, monitoring access points, providing customer service,



and responding according to the client’s specific needs.

What we offer:

- Schedule: primarily evenings and nights, including weekends
- Status: on-call , ideal for candidates who are versatile and available

Requirements:

- Valid security guard licence (required)
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle at all times (required).
- Valid first aid certification
- Excellent command of French (spoken and written)
- Clear criminal record and ability to pass a thorough background check
- Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods (4 to 12 hours)
- Ability to write detailed reports (hourly during the day, every 30 minutes at night)
- Strong customer service skills
