you will beresponsible for providing quality nursing care to patients including complex patient populations whose outcomes are notpredictable. As part of a multidisciplinary health care team, you will practice within the Professional Standards of theCollege of Nurses of Ontario, the Philosophy of patient and family centered care, mission vision, values and thepolicies of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Applicants must have the following qualifications: Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse withthe College of Nurses of Ontario, or the ability to become licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario Current certification in BCLS Recent knowledge in Surgical Nursing with experience caring forpre and postoperative surgical patients with TPN, Recent experience assisting with invasive therapeuticprocedures such as: endoscopic tissue biopsies and PEG tube insertions, colonoscopy, esophageal dilation, and ERCP's Experience with managing and monitoring patients receivingconscious sedation Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning,implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with her/his basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized careplanning and delivery Knowledge relevant to surgical nursing practice Identify and recognize abnormal or unexpected patient responsesand take appropriate action Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions Strong interprofessional and communication skills Central Venous Line Management Certificate or completion of Lead II Arrhythmia InterpretationProgram Salary Range:
