Join the Office of the Auditor General in Victoria as a Co-op Audit Student. This hybrid role provides hands-on experience in financial audits, ensuring government accountability and transparency.
We are seeking co-op students for a distinguished opportunity within the Financial Audit division, facilitating important audits that affirm the integrity of governmental financial statements. You will primarily work in teams, gaining mentorship from seasoned auditors and contributing to critical evaluations of public sector operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning and conducting financial audits • Prepare detailed reports under guidance • Identify control weaknesses and assess business processes • Work on at least two audit projects during co-op term • Address assignments as directed by senior team members
Requirements: • Enrolled in an undergraduate program related to finance • Achieved a minimum 65% GPA in accounting courses • Teamwork experience in client-centered environments • Solid verbal and written communication skills • General knowledge of Canadian GAAP principles
