Post Office Assistant (Term) Canada Post is currently seeking an on‑call Post Office Assistant (Term) in Saint‑Donat‑de‑Montcalm, QC (also covering Lantier). This role involves providing counter services to customers with a customer‑focused approach. Job Responsibilities Sell postal products and services to the business community and public Sort, distribute and process mail into appropriate classifications Provide customers with information and forms Address delivery and service difficulties to resolve problems thoroughly and quickly Handle cash transactions accurately Lift mail containers of up to 50 lbs, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods Qualifications High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service setting,



including sales and cash transactions Understanding of general or post office accounting systems Physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lbs, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods of time Flexibility to be available for temporary, on‑call work Bilingual (French and English) — Bilingual Imperative (--BB) language requirement Other Requirements A character reference letter is required Security screening process required Ideal candidate should reside in the community or within a 50 km radius This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position High school diploma or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration; experience in a retail or public service environment including cash transactions; bilingual in French andEnglish (Bilingual Imperative --BB); physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
