Join the House of Commons as a Mechanical Engineer, providing crucial support for major infrastructure projects while focusing on HVAC, plumbing, and sustainability. This is a full time, on-site position.

In the Digital Services and Real Property department, the Mechanical Engineer will bring expertise to building rehabilitation and infrastructure renewal projects across the parliamentary precinct. You'll engage with various stakeholders, reviewing designs and developing technical recommendations to satisfy engineering codes and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:



• Evaluate designs and engineering specifications • Collaborate with project teams and external consultants • Develop standards for mechanical engineering practices • Advise on maintainability and long-term performance • Assess technical risks and propose effective solutions

Requirements: • University degree in Mechanical Engineering • P.Eng. designation in Ontario preferred • 5+ years in capital projects for institutional buildings • Familiarity with building performance and energy efficiency • Knowledge of engineering codes and asset management
