Our client, an established luxury travel agency in Toronto, is looking for an experienced Senior Travel Designer to join their team. This position is becoming available due to a long-standing employee’s upcoming retirement.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned travel professional who enjoys building high-end itineraries and providing highly personalized service to discerning, high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will be a confident advisor who can make thoughtful recommendations, manage complex arrangements and take ownership of each trip from initial consultation through to completion.
Responsibilities:
Design customized luxury vacations to Europe, the Caribbean and other sun destinations
Consult with clients and recommend destinations, hotels, experiences and routing based on their individual preferences
Manage complex travel arrangements from beginning to end
Book and coordinate air, accommodations, transfers and other travel services
Provide knowledgeable, polished service to an established luxury clientele
Assist with air reservations and act as a backup for ticketing when required
Monitor client emails outside regular business hours and assist with urgent situations when necessary; emergencies are infrequent
Build lasting client relationships through attentive and highly personalized service
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience working within a luxury travel agency; 10 years or more is preferred
Robust knowledge of luxury travel throughout Europe, the Caribbean and other sun destinations
Air reservation and ticketing experience
Experience with Apollo/Travelport is a strong asset
Confident, articulate and comfortable advising affluent, well-travelled clients
Consultative approach with the ability to develop creative, customized travel recommendations
Solid attention to detail and the ability to manage complex itineraries independently
Must live in Toronto and be able to commute reliably to the office five days per week
Position Details:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Fully in-office position; remote work is not available
